The Aryavart International University was established by the State Legislature of the Government of Tripura under Act No. 03 of 2023 and is recognised by the UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956. It is the first university in North Tripura, offering programmes through its Schools of Computer Science & Technology, Commerce & Management, Social Science & Humanities, Paramedical (DME approved), Legal Studies (BCI approved), Pharmacy (PCI approved), Hospital Administration, Journalism & Mass Communication, Library & Information Science and Agriculture.
