St. Mary's Rehabilitation University (SMRU), Hyderabad, is India's first and only fully integrated rehabilitation-sciences university, established in 2026 through Telangana Gazette Act No. 10 of 2026 and recognised by the UGC under Section 2(f). Located on a 120-acre purpose-built campus at Deshmukhi Village, Pochampally Mandal, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri District (near Ramoji Film City), it is founded by the Joseph Sriharsha & Mary Indraja Educational Society - a Christian Minority Institution with a 30-year legacy in technical and professional education (since 1996). SMRU brings together rehabilitation, allied health, psychology, special education, nursing, biomedical & rehabilitation engineering and forensic sciences, embedding clinical training, simulation labs and assistive-technology innovation across its programmes.
