Maharashtra Animal & Fishery Sciences University (MAFSU) is a public state agricultural university headquartered in Nagpur, established on 3 December 2000 under the Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Sciences University Act, 1998. It was carved out of Maharashtra's four general agricultural universities by consolidating veterinary, dairy technology and fishery science colleges. MAFSU offers UG, PG, doctoral and diploma programmes including B.V.Sc & AH, B.F.Sc, B.Tech (Dairy Technology) and M.V.Sc, and is regulated primarily through ICAR and the Veterinary Council of India rather than NAAC.
