Kavi Kulguru Kalidas Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya (KKSU) is a public state university established on 18 September 1997 by the Government of Maharashtra at Ramtek, Nagpur district, named after the classical Sanskrit poet Kalidas. It is the first and only dedicated Sanskrit university in Maharashtra, offering B.A., B.Ed., M.A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes in Sanskrit alongside modern subjects like Yoga, Journalism and Travel & Tourism. KKSU is UGC-recognised under Sections 2(f) and 12(B) and oversees 56 affiliated colleges across the Vidarbha region and Goa.
