Arka Jain University (AJU), Jamshedpur is a State Private University established in February 2017 under "The Arka Jain University Act" by the Jharkhand State Legislature (recognised by UGC under Sections 2(f) & 22(1)). Formerly Jain College (since 2011), it is part of the JAIN Group (JGI), Bengaluru and mentored by JAIN (Deemed-to-be-University). The first state private university in the Kolhan region and the first in Bihar/Jharkhand/West Bengal to earn NAAC "A" in the first cycle, AJU offers diploma, UG, PG and doctoral programmes through schools of Engineering & IT, Commerce & Management, Health & Allied Sciences, Humanities & Law and Pharmacy. Admission is via the AJU Common Entrance Test (AJUCET) and national exams (JEE Main, CUET, CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, NEET, JCECEB).
